You can help monitor the fauna, including more than 170 threatened species and hundreds of endemic species (which only occur in this biome).
Be a citizen scientist and help monitor the fauna of the Atlantic Forest, collaborating with the SISS-Geo, Wild Health Information System of the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation. It is a public information platform that stores and makes available all the information on wild animal occurrence records in the country, in addition to issuing alerts on the occurrence of injuries in wild fauna, especially those with the potential for human involvement, and models for predicting ecological opportunities for emergence of diseases.
The Atlantic Forest Trail is a partner of Fiocruz in this initiative and the data will also serve for project specialists to assess the role of the trail as a corridor for fauna.
